The Hotel Montecarlo is found in a renovated 14th century palace. Its position on the Ramblas, Barcelona's main tourist street, makes it a great location from which to explore the city. All 55 of the guestrooms, decorated in simple colors, are air- conditioned and feature cable television, wireless Internet access and adjustable electronic beds. The private marble bathrooms boast jetted tubs, helping guests unwind after a hard day's sightseeing.
The resort features a meeting room and solarium, and provides parking for guests. Although there is no restaurant there are many eateries on the main strip and a breakfast room offers a buffet service for a fee. Barcelona's beaches are within easy reach, but for the more culturally minded there are many museums and galleries worthy of a look, such as the Gaudi buildings, the Joan Miro gallery and the Picasso museum.
